Posted by BadGuy

Jackie Chan portrait made of 64,000 CHOPSTICKS! :)

Such an honour working with him on this in Beijing!!!

Jackie turns sixty this year ANd being an creator WHO paints while not a applier, I spent a looong time pondering what material to use for his portrait! he is AN actor, a martial arts master, AN reformer and may be a world-renowned face! I finally selected chopsticks - a logo of the Chinese culture, Jackie has used chopsticks during his kungfu scenes during a few movies like the Fearless canine and Karate child.

I used disposable bamboo chopsticks to show that disposable materials is reused and created into one thing else a lot of meaning and delightful. I spent a month assembling these chopsticks from cafes, stalls and factories in Zhejiang and Peking, then ligature every of them up. so worthy to gift it at his concert on 6/4/14. Happy 60th birthday, Jackie
